We had a variety of fundraisers and 100% of the donations went towards transportation to get the school to San Jose State University for the day of the tour as well as for their lunch. We raised over $1,000 through the help of our community!
1. One of them was a Concha fundraiser. We sold hot chocolate and conchas on a Thursday afternoon!
2. One of them was a Bingo fundraiser. We attached one of our member's venmo information and asked people to venmo us in return for tagging their Instagram handle on our stories based on the number of money they chose to donate.
3. The last one was a GoFundMe where people were able to donate as much as they wanted. Our highest donor was $100! The community donated in order to be able to send the young scholars on an interactive tour of SJSU. Furthermore, most of the donors were teachers from the school.
4. Finally, the Provost Vincent J. Del Casino Jr. generously donated Gold Point cards for all. of the students during the tour in order for them to eat a meal at the Student Union. Each card held $15.
